The lighting fixture for crop lighting has a first main reflector (10) on a first side of a principal optical plane (3), spaced from a light output window (2) extending transversely thereto and, extending from the light output window (2), a first side reflector (30). On a second side of the principal optical plane (3), a second main reflector (20) extends towards a second side reflector (40), which may be integral therewith. The main reflectors (10, 30) may be spaced apart in the principal optical plane (3) so as to form a ven, tilating opening. The lighting fixture delivers an asymmetrical light beam, which makes the lighting fixture suitable for use in the method for lighting crop, in particular at the edge of a field to be lighted.
