A mounting platform for a lighting fixture comprising a substantially flat plate and an integral cutting guide. The integral cutting guide includes an aperture formed through the substantially flat plate and a flange formed around a perimeter of the aperture. The flange and the substantially flat plate preferably intersect in a curve and the flange forms an angle of less than (90) degrees with respect to the bottom surface. The mounting platform also includes elongated slots for securing the mounting platform to a ceiling support member . The elongated slots are preferably of a sufficient length to allow the mounting platform to be secured to the ceiling support member to allow placement of the integral cutting guide between the ceiling support member and a second ceiling support member wherein the span between the ceiling support member and the second ceiling support member is in the range of (16 to 24) inches.
L'invention concerne une plate-forme de montage destinée à un luminaire comprenant une plaque sensiblement plate et un guide tranchant. Le guide tranchant comprend une ouverture formée à travers la plaque sensiblement plate et un bord formé autour d'un périmètre d'ouverture. Le bord et la plaque sensiblement plate se croisent de préférence au niveau d'une courbe et le bord forme un angle inférieur à 90 degrés par rapport à la surface inférieure. La plate-forme de montage comprend également des fentes oblongues destinées à fixer la plate-forme de montage à un élément support de plafond. Les fentes oblongues sont de préférence d'une longueur suffisante à permettre à la plate-forme de montage d'être fixée à l'élément support de plafond afin de permettre le placement du guide tranchant entre l'élément support de plafond et un second élément support de plafond, l'intervalle entre l'élément support de plafond et le second élément support de plafond étant compris entre 16 et 24 pouces.
