The present invention provides a compact format lighting module that can provide a desired level of mixing and collimating of light generated by multiple light-emitting elements within the lighting module. The lighting module comprises two or more light- emitting elements for generating light having one or more colours, wherein the light- emitting elements can be configured into a closely packed array. The module further comprises a primary optical system enabling light extraction from the light-emitting elements to which it is optically coupled. A secondary optical system that is optically coupled to the primary optical system and is configured to be compatible with the primary optical system and provides a means for mixing and collimating the light extracted from the two or more light-emitting elements.
L'invention concerne un module d'éclairage de format compact susceptible d'offrir un niveau souhaité de mélange et de collimation de la lumière générée par une pluralité d'éléments émetteurs de lumière contenus dans ce module d'éclairage. Le module d'éclairage comprend au moins deux éléments émetteurs de lumière servant à générer de la lumière d'une ou de plusieurs couleurs, les éléments émetteurs de lumière pouvant être agencés pour former une matrice très dense. Le module comprend en outre un système optique principal permettant d'extraire la lumière émanant des éléments émetteurs de lumière auxquels il est couplé optiquement. Un système optique auxiliaire couplé optiquement au système optique principal et conçu pour être compatible avec celui-ci constitue un moyen de mélange et de collimation de la lumière extraite desdits éléments émetteurs de lumière.
