ABSTRACT Patent of Invention for "IMPROVEMENT ON LIGHTING TORCHES". An improvement is described on lighting torches for open-air utilization, which includes an elongated body or stick (1), a head (2) arranged on top of the stick, and a wick (8), wherein the body (1) and the head (2) of said torches are formed by a mixture of paraffin and cotton linters of various cuttings, dosed as a function of the combustion time intended for the lighting torches. In the body or stick (1) the amount of linters utilized may vary from nearly 12% to nearly 24%. In accordance with this invention, linters of 1st and/or 2nd and/or 3rd cuttings are utilized mixed with the paraffin, with the purpose of forming hollow and solid molded bodies of high strength, such as the head and the stick of the lighting torch.
