ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An optical cable intended for use in reading an optical information carrier comprising a light conductor for transmitting light from the carrier to a light-sensitive receiver. In order that the cable is easy to bend and for obtaining good resolution, the light conductor is manu- factured from an easily bendable material. The end portion of the light conductor facing away from the light-sensitive receiver comprises a light conductor having a light recep- tion angle which is less than the corresponding angle of the remaining portion of the light conductor.
