ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A long lightweight isolated conveyor is dis- closed which includes a base resiliently mounted on a stationary support and a trough resiliently mounted on the base. Nine natural fundamental frequencies of the con- veyor, and natural harmonics of three of these funda- mental frequencies are determined. A driver is provided to produce forced vibrations of the trough at a frequency above the lowest natural fundamental frequency, and at least five percent from the other fundamental frequencies and the harmonics.
