The present invention relates to wet offset printing plates of which the weight has been reduced in a novel manner; the preparation of said plates; and the use thereof in the field of wet offset printing. Said plates are characterised in that they comprise two groups of small ink-repellent weight- reducing surfaces in at least part of the lightweight inked surfaces thereof.
