ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A circuit is provided for limiting the recording signal during recording on a magnetic tape to prevent saturation of the tape. An improved limiter circuit is proposed in which the controlling element, a transistor is driven by a signal current source instead of a voltage source A variable impedance element is connected to a signal transmission line for controlling the magnitude of the signal provided to the recording means.
