Abstract of the disclosure Limulus test-positive plant glycolipid having the following properties: Molecular weight:8,000?1,000 (SDS electrophoresis) Number of phosphorus: not less than l/mol. Number of hexosamine: 6?2/mol. Number of fatty acid: 6?2/mol. a method of stimulating the immune system of an animal. comprising to said animal an amount of said glycolipid effective to stimulate at least one of osteogenesis, oviposition and shell strength improvement of said animal. and an immuno stimulator composition comprising an effective amount of said glycolipid in admixture with a pharmaceutically of veterinarily acceptable carrier, such that when administered to an animal, the immune system of said animal is stimulated to effect at least one of osteogenesis, oviposition and shell strength improvement are disclosed.
