his invention relates to linear antennas made up of sensors (H1 to HN) that are towed by submarines or surface vessels. The key to the invention is the fact that the antenna comprises a main antenna with N omnidirectional hydrophones (H1 to HN) and one auxiliary antenna (AG, AD) with a cardioid receiving pattern that is used to remove the main antenna's left/right ambiguity. To that end, the coherence (34) between the signals from the main antenna and each of the signals D(t) and G(t) of the two channels, left and right, of the auxiliary antenna is calculated, the comparison of the two coherence values making it possible to disambiguate them. The invention is particularly suited to towed antennas.
L'invention concerne les antennes linéaires composées de capteurs (H1 à HN) qui sont remorquées par des sous-marins ou des bâtiments de surface. L'invention réside dans le fait que l'antenne comprend une antenne principale à N hydrophones (H1 à HN) à directivité omnidirectionnelle et une antenne auxiliaire (AG, AD) à directivité en forme de cardioïde qui est utilisée pour lever l'ambiguïté droite/gauche de l'antenne principale.
