LINEAR FLUID MOTOR ABSTRACT A fluid operated linear motor of the piston and cylinder type. The piston is secured to a rod by a threaded connection and the mating threads are proportioned and dimensioned so that pivotal movement available in the thread- ed connection is enough to compensate at least in part for manufacturing tolerances and eccentricities and prevent or reduce abnormal distribution of lateral forces by the piston on the outer cylinder. -0-
