A putter with a small striking surface located near the shaft and elongated in a direction perpendicular to the striking face in accordance with this invention provides numerous advantages. Advantageously, in use, the mass of the putter head is disposed along the desired putting path, the centre of mass being located ahead of the shaft thereby enhancing the directional stability. The putter has a shaft, which is preferably bent at approximately a 15 degree angle. A club head is disposed at an end of the shaft and has an elongated tail section aft the shaft; and, a striking face fore the shaft.
La présente invention a pour objet un fer droit comportant une petite surface de contact située près du manche et allongée dans une direction perpendiculaire à la surface de contact, cette configuration de fer droit présentant de nombreux avantages. La masse de la tête du fer droit étant rassemblée dans l'axe où le bâton doit frapper la balle, et le centre de la masse se trouvant en avant de la tige, le fer droit en question offre l'avantage d'une stabilité directionnelle accrue. Le fer droit comporte un manche qui, de préférence, est incliné selon un angle de15 degrés. La tête du fer droit visé par les présentes est disposée à l'extrémité du manche, et comporte un talon prolongé vers l'arrière, au-delà du point de jonction avec le manche; la surface de contact est située en avant du manche.
