An apparatus for converting linear motion into rotary motion or vice versa comprising a shaft (12) which is rotatable about a fixed axis (14) and carrying a circular cam (16) mounted eccentrically relative to that axis (14), the cam (16) being rotatably mounted within a disc (22) which is in turn rotatably mounted within a housing (24) mounted for linear reciprocating motion along a rectilinear axis (26) in a direction transverse to the axis (14) of the shaft (12) whereby reciprocating motion of the housing (24) along the rectilinear axis (26) is converted into rotation of the shaft (12), or rotation of the shaft (12) is converted into reciprocating motion of the housing (24) along the rectilinear axis (26).

L'invention concerne un convertisseur de mouvement linéaire en mouvement rotatif ou vice versa, comprenant un arbre (12) qui tourne autour d'un axe fixe (14) et une came circulaire (16) montée de manière excentrique par rapport à cet axe (14). Ladite came (16) est montée de manière rotative dans un disque (22) qui à son tour est monté de manière rotative dans un carter (24) monté afin d'effectuer un mouvement linéaire de va-et-vient le long d'un axe rectilinéaire (26) dans un sens transversal à l'axe (14) de l'arbre (12). Le mouvement de va-et-vient du carter (24) le long de l'axe rectilinéaire (26) est converti en rotation de l'arbre (12) ou inversement la rotation de l'arbre (12) est convertie en mouvement de va-et-vient dudit carter (24) le long de l'axe rectilinéaire (26).
