ABSTRACT Draw resonance problems previously encountered when extrusion casting or extrusion coating linear low density polyethylene, LLDPE, are substantially alleviated by use of a polymer designed to have an I2 melt index of from 0.1 to 25 gm/10 minutes, and an I10/I2 ratio from 4.0 to 8.3. Line speeds approaching and even surpassing those attained with LDPE are made possible. This invention can even be used in conjunction with known prior methods for alleviating draw resonance problems with LLDPE and obtain the benefits of the combination. C-35,875
