A stepper motor includes a forcer wherein the teeth are formed in the pole faces by an etching process or machining and instepping. The etching can be achieved by forming the teeth in a separately formed plate which is anchored to the face of a forcer. A high density magnetic material is used for the plate and can also be used on the platen to improve performance of the stepper motor.

L'invention concerne un moteur pas-à-pas qui comprend une unité génératrice de courant. Les dents sont formées dans les faces polaires par un procédé de gravure ou par usinage ou encore par impulsion. La gravure peut être effectuée par la formation de dents dans une plaque formée séparément qui est ancrée à la face d'une unité génératrice de courant. Un matériau magnétique de haute densité est utilisé pour former la plaque et peut aussi servir sur le plateau à améliorer le rendement du moteur pas-à-pas.
