Methods and apparatus for detecting wear in a liner (1400). In one embodiment of the present invention, an electrically conductive wire (1402) is placed on or near the outside surface (1404) of the liner and the electrical resistance in the electrically conductive wire (1402) is measured to determine whether the wire has worn through. In another embodiment of the present invention, the temperature measured by a temperature measuring device, such as a thermocouple, is monitored over time to estimate wear in the liner (1400).
Cette invention concerne des procédés et un dispositif permettant de détecter l'usure d'une chemise (1400). Dans un mode de réalisation, on mesure la résistance d'un fil électriquement conducteur (1402) disposé contre la surface extérieure (1404) de la chemise ou à proximité de cette surface pour déterminer le degré d'usure dudit fil. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, on mesure la température sur la durée au moyen d'un dispositif de mesure tel qu'un thermocouple pour estimer l'usure de la chemise (1400).
