ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Device for lining metallurgical vessels having a work platform and a conveyor for lifting lining bricks from the shop floor to the platform. The conveyor consists of a pair of end- less chains to which brick supports are attached. Each chain runs over a main lower sprocket, a main upper sprocket over a pair of adjacent sprockets and over a sprocket associated with the pair of sprockets and adjustable relative to them to reduce or increase the length of chain stored between them. This accommodates changes in the height at which the work platform is supported.
