A pressure sensitive adhesive tape roll for selective use on a lint remover roller assembly has a core and a non-adhesive tape substrate. The tape substrate has a first portion on one side thereof covered with a longitudinally extending adhesive layer and a second portion defining a narrow uncovered substrate portion therealong. The first and second portions form a pressure sensitive adhesive tape with the pressure sensitive adhesive tape being adapted for selective winding on the core with the adhesive layer of the tape facing outwardly to form a pressure sensitive adhesive tape roll. A slit is provided through the adhesive tape roll across the adhesive layer first portion thereof to define a narrow unslit uncovered substrate second portion which maintains the retentive longitudinally continuous integrity of the pressure sensitive tape roll on the core. Each layer of the tape roll is selectively detachable upon saturation from the adhesive tape roll by lifting it away along the slit and tearing it away through the narrow unslit portion of said substrate to expose the next lowermost unused adhesive tape layer.
