ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided an inner cylindrical sleeve for use in lipstick containers, said sleeve having diametrically opposed slots which permit movement of an elevator cup con- taining the lipstick and retention of the cup in three fixed positions. Each slot consists of a lateral portion, two long- itudinal portions extending respectively up and down from opposing ends of the lateral portion, and lateral passages at the top of the upper longitudinal and bottom of the lower longitudinal portions. The slot width of the lateral portion and the lateral passages is narrowed where they meet the long- itudinal portions. A holder for dispensing lipsticks employs said sleeve.
