The invention concerns aqueous liquid abrasive cleaning compositions comprising a 10-80% of calcite or dolomite abrasive and 0.05-1.5% of a polycarboxylate thickening polymer with a high (at least 50%) carboxylate group content and a stabilising amount of a phosphate or phosphonate salt capable of sequestering Ca2+ ions.
