The present invention relates to a liquid barrier assembly for the prevention of flow of liquid from one area to an adjacent area. The assembly comprises a plurality of barriers each having a substantially rigid container defining an enclosed chamber and a front concave wall against which, in use, liquid is intended to be incident. The front wall of at least one of the barriers has a plurality of apertures that allow the passage of liquid into and out of the chamber. Adjacent barriers are connected to one another in a side by side relationship by an elongate dog-bone connector. Each connector has a plurality of resiliently deformable sealing members which ensure that a liquid-tight seal is retained between the barriers. Angular displacement of one barrier relative to its neighbour about the connector is permitted so that a non- linear liquid barrier assembly can be constructed.
L'invention concerne un assemblage de barrières de liquide destiné à empêcher l'écoulement d'un liquide d'une zone dans une zone adjacente. L'assemblage comprend une pluralité de barrières présentant chacune un contenant sensiblement rigide définissant une chambre fermée et une paroi avant concave contre laquelle, pendant l'utilisation, le liquide est censé être incident. La paroi avant d'au moins une barrière parmi la pluralité de barrières comprend une pluralité d'ouvertures permettant le passage du liquide à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la chambre. Des barrières adjacentes sont reliées les unes aux autres, côte à côte, par un élément de connexion allongé en forme d'os pour chien. Chaque élément de connexion présente une pluralité d'éléments de scellement élastiquement déformables garantissant la retenue d'un scellement étanche aux liquides entre les barrières. Un déplacement angulaire d'une barrière par rapport à la barrière voisine, autour de l'élément de connexion, est permis, de manière qu'un assemblage de barrières de liquide non linéaire puisse être construit.
