A B S T R A C T A liquid composition for consolidating an underground formation comprises resin-forming agents including an epoxy compound and dissolved in a solvent in a total volume concentration between 5 and 30%, and a viscosifying agent. The viscosifying agent may be a polymer, such as a polymer selected from the group of polymers consisting of isobutene polymers, methacrylate polymers, olefine copolymers, synthetic rubbers, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and isoprene-styrene copolymer. The liquid composition may be used for consolidating a formation part around a borehole, comprising unconsolidated or poorly consolidated particles and/or comprising a disturbed zone. In the latter treatment, granular particles are added to the composition.
