This invention concerns an applicator for the application of a make-up product, consisting of a stem (5) with an open extremity (5a) comprising a site upon which to mount an application medium of determined flexibility, the stem being of similar flexibility to the application medium, the stem and application medium being of unitary construction. The application medium is preferably made out of a tuft (2) of hair(3). The invention is also related to a nail polish application kit that comes with such an applicator.
