ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a matrix type liquid crystal display device having a large number of row and column electrodes, the present invention disposes a non-linear resist- ance element made of an amorphous material consist- ing of silicon as its principal component, for each pixel of a liquid crystal driving electrode in series with a liquid crystal, facilitates the pro- duction method of the liquid crystal display device and improves its reliability.
