ABSTRACT A liquid crystal display device in which a liquid crystal display cell is interposed between first and second electrodes. Exciting means are applied to the first electrode for obtaining therefrom an exciting voltage. An integrator is applied to the second electrode for obtaining a substantially mean DC voltage by integrating the exciting voltage. The lifespan of the liquid crystal display is prolonged considerably.
