The liquid crystal projector equipment according to the present invention is designed so that the light from the light source 1 is condensed by the lens arrays 2 and 4 and the lens 5; the condensed light strikes the PBS 22 where the s-polarized-light component of the green-color-range light is reflected to strike the reflex liquid crystal plate for green color range, and the modulated and reflected light (p-polarized-light component) passes through the PBS 22 and the dichroic prism 11. The p-polarized-light component that has passed through the PBS 22 falls on the PBS 8 and then falls on the reflex liquid crystal plate 10B for blue color range by way of the blue-color-range filter 9B; the modulated reflected light (p- polarized light) passes through the PBS 8 to be reflected by the dichroic prism 11; the p- polarized-light component that has passed the PBS 8 falls the reflex liquid crystal plate 10R for red color range by way of red-color-range light transmitting filter 9R; the modulated and reflected light (s-polarized light) is reflected by the dichroic prism 11 and projected on the screen together with the image lights of green color range and blue color range by means of the projection lens.
L'invention concerne un projecteur à cristaux liquides dans lequel la lumière en provenance d'une source lumineuse (1) est focalisée par une mosaïque de lentilles (2, 4) et une lentille (5) et est dirigée sur un PBS (22). La composante polarisée S de la lumière verte est réfléchie et dirigée sur une plaque réfléchissante de lumière verte (10G) à cristaux liquides. La lumière réfléchie modulée (composante polariée P) est transmise à travers le PBS (22) et un prisme dichroïque (11). La composante polarisée P transmise à travers le PBS (22) est dirigée sur le PBS (8). La composante polarisée S est, à son tour, réfléchie et dirigée sur une plaque réfléchissante de lumière bleue (10B) à cristaux liquides à travers un filtre transmetteur de lumière bleue (9B), la lumière réfléchie modulée (lumière polarisée P) est transmise à travers le PBS (8) et est réfléchie à partir du prisme dichroïque (11). La composante polarisée P transmise à travers le PBS (8) est dirigée sur une plaque réfléchissante de lumière rouge (10R) à cristaux liquides à travers un filtre transmetteur de lumière rouge (9R), la lumière réfléchie modulée (lumière polarisée S) est réfléchie par le PBS (8) et le prisme dichroïque (11) et est projetée sur un écran aux cotés des lumières d'image verte et bleue par une lentille de projection (12).
