ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel liquid detergent composition for clothing articles comprising the following ingredients (A)', (B-1) and (B-2): (A)' 0.01 to 5 wt% of a polymer in the form of a polymer latex having a cationic group or a tertiary amino group and having an average particle size (average in weight) of from 0.005 to 0.2 micrometers with a content of the polymer whose size is in the range of from 0.005 to 0.2 micrometers being not less than 95 wt% of the total of the polymer latex; (B-1) 10 to 50 wt% of a nonionic surface active agent; and (B-2) 0.01 to 10 wt% of an anionic surface active agent. The detergent composition has a good shrink resistance for felt.
