ABSTRACT A dishwashing liquid detergent composition comprising a surfactant mixture composed of alkyl sulphate, alkyl ether sulphate, alkane or alkene sulphonate and ethoxylated nonionic surfactants, the alkyl sulphate being present in the form of its magnesium salt. The combination of the ethoxylated nonionic and alkyl sulphate surfactants provides enhanced particulate soil suspension capability with no loss in sudsing or grease cutting properties.
