A flow regulator for a liquid cryogen droplet dispenser comprises a defined region adjacent the outlet therein and means for creating a back pressure withinsaid region thereby reducing or inhibiting the flow of liquid through the outlet. A suitable source of the back pressure is a gas at higher pressure than the liquid cryogen being dispensed. Preferably, the gas creating the back pressure is the "boil off" gas from a bulk liquid cryogen vessel utilized to supply the dispenser.
