A liquid distributor is adapted for use with a sheet material so as to distribute an incoming liquid to a plurality of flow paths in the sheet material. The liquid distributor includes a generally rectangular flat substrate secured to a roof through the sheet material. A pair of elongated guides are raised from the top surface of the substrate to collect a heating medium such as hot water from a supply pipe. The guides are arranged in such a manner as to define an inlet opening therebetween. The guides are oriented to direct the heating medium to the inlet opening. A triangular baffle is located downstream of the guides. The top end of the baffle is aligned with the inlet opening, whereby the heating medium is divided into two streams of heating medium. A pair of partitions are arranged at opposite sides of the baffle to define opposite intermediate openings. A pair of triangular distribution elements are located downstream of the baffle. Each of the distribution elements has a top end aligned with a respective one of the intermediate openings, and opposite slant sides. With this arrangement, the two streams of heating medium are divided into a total of four streams of heating medium which are directed to the respective flow paths in the sheet material.
