LIQUID DRAINAGE SYSTEM WITH CLOSED EMPTYING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A liquid drainage system comprising, a receptacle hav- ing a chamber to receive the liquid, and a normally closed valve communicating with a lower portion of the chamber, with the valve opening responsive to contact in order to establish commu- nication with the chamber through the valve. The system has a container having a cavity to receive the liquid from the chamber, with the container having a device for actuating the valve adja- cent an upper portion of the container, at least one aperture adjacent the actuating device to receive the liquid for passage into the cavity, and a device for closing the valve to the atmos- phere prior to actuation of the valve.
