The present invention relates to an improved injectable ready to use preparation of pamidronate salts, methods for its manufacture and uses of the solution of the invention in the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of diseases selected from the group of tumour-induced hypercalcaemia, Paget's disease, osteoporosis, bone metastases, or breast cancer. The ready to use solution comprises a physiologically acceptable alkaline salt which is water soluble and a physiologically acceptable aqueous solvent having a concentration of between 0.1 and 100 mg/mL which has not been reconstituted from a lyophilizate, wherein the solution is.provided in a sealed non-reactive container. 15
