LIQUID INJECTING METHOD AND APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure A liquid injector suitable for injecting a liquid into a flowline having a fluid under pressure therein in which a piston divides the interior of a hollow body into a power chamber and a pumping chamber with a piston rod extending through the pumping chamber to the exterior of the body, liquid filling the pumping chamber, a discharge line from the pumping chamber through a valve to the flowline, and a supply line from the flowline to the power chamber, the valve in the supply line being controlled by the timed position of the piston. A method of injecting a liquid into a flowline including the steps of delivering pressure fluid from the flowline to a pressure responsive position displacement pumping means, delivering liquid from the pumping means through a valve to the flowline and controlling the valve to control the amount of liquid pumped responsive to the timed position of the pumping means.
