- 23 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an improved liquid-phase adsorption process for the separation of hydrocarbons. The separation process utilizes a mag- netically stabilized fluidized bed through which the liquid hydrocarbon feedstream is passed to adsorb com- ponents of the feedstream, followed by desorbing the components. One of the many possible applications of this invention is in separation of isomers of aromatic hydrocarbons.
