Disclosed is an assay device for use in the determination of the presence of at least one analyte of interest in a liquid sample; the device comprising a reaction zone in which a reagent reacts with the analyte of interest and a bibulous member which, when contacted with the liquid sample, draws liquid therefrom towards the reaction zone; the bibulous member comprising means to change colour when wetted by the sample.
L'invention a trait à un dispositif d'analyse destiné à déterminer la présence d'au moins une analyte d'intérêt dans un échantillon liquide. Ledit dispositif comprend une zone de réaction dans laquelle un agent réactif réagit avec l'analyte d'intérêt dans un élément absorbant qui, lorsqu'il est en contact avec l'échantillon liquide, tire le liquide dudit échantillon vers la zone de réaction. L'élément absorbant comprend des moyens qui lui permettent de changer de couleur lorsqu'il est mouillé par l'échantillon.
