A liquid sensing alarm for liquid level control systems includes a conductive circuit that is normally in an "On" condition. An alarm signal generator is connected to the conductive circuit. The alarm signal generator is triggered when the conductive circuit is switched to an "Off" condition. A liquid flow path is provided in the conductive circuit with liquid rising in the liquid flow path breaking the circuit to switch the circuit to an "Off" condition thereby causing the alarm signal generator to generate an alarm signal. An alarm condition is also triggered if the liquid sensing alarm ceases to function properly due to a malfunction of one of the system components.
