A liquid fuel shut-off valve for insertion through the feed pipe opening and mounting inside a fuel tank including, in combination, a valve body having an inlet and an outlet joined by a first bore aligned axially with the feed pipe through which the fuel is fed to fill the tank, a valve spool rotatably mounted in a cross-bore formed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet and attached to a float extending outward from the valve body that is responsive to the level of liquid in the tank, and a valve shut-off formed in the spool including a second bore formed transverse thereto for passing fuel between the inlet and the outlet, and a relief opening formed in the trailing edge of the wall of the second bore allowing progressive rotation of the second bore from a first position in full hydraulic alignment with the first bore to a second position in full hydraulic closure with the first bore free of a countervailing hydraulic turning moment developed by the flow of fuel there through.
Robinet d'arrêt pour combustible liquide à insérer dans l'ouverture du tuyau d'alimentation et à monter à l'intérieur d'un réservoir de combustible comprenant, en combinaison, un corps de robinet ayant une entrée et une sortie reliées par un premier alésage aligné axialement avec le tuyau d'alimentation par lequel le combustible est acheminé pour remplir le réservoir, un tiroir de robinet monté de manière à pouvoir tourner dans un alésage transversal formé dans le corps du robinet entre l'entrée et la sortie et relié à un flotteur s'étendant à l'extérieur du corps du robinet qui réagit au niveau de liquide dans le réservoir, et un opercule formé dans le tiroir comprenant un second alésage formé transversalement pour le passage du combustible entre l'entrée et la sortie, et une ouverture de dégagement formée dans le bord arrière de la paroi du second alésage permettant la rotation progressive du second alésage depuis une première position en complet alignement hydraulique avec le premier alésage jusqu'à une deuxième position en complète fermeture hydraulique avec le premier alésage sans moment de rotation hydraulique compensatoire causé par l'écoulement du combustible.
