ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A liquid stirring device is supported by a lid adapted to be Pitted over a paint container. The liquid is stirred by a centrally mounted shaft provided with a pair of flexible flaps spacedly mounted from the shaft and supported along their lower edge to the lower end of the shaft. The shaft is rotatably actuated by a handle above the lid, or a protuberant tubular member adapted to be driven by the chuck or the bit of a drill. The flaps are flexible and bent during the rotation of the shaft to create a down pulling action on the shaft and on the lid.
