The invention concerns a lithotripter apparatus for very accurately breaking up kidney stones using a shock wave generator while compensating the wear of the electrodes constituting said generator. It comprises a mount frame (11), a treatment table (12) to bear a patient during a lithiasis (35) break up treatment, a shock wave generator, means for focusing said shock waves onto the lithiasis and a device for displaying live (60) the treatment zone, the shock wave generator comprising two electrodes (33, 34) spaced apart from each other. The means focusing the shock waves comprise a semi-ellipsoidal reflector (17), the ends (33a, 34a) of said electrodes being arranged substantially at one (F¿e?) of the focal points of the reflectors (17), the other focal point (F¿r?) of the reflector being centred on the lithiasis. The electrodes (33, 34) are provided with a wear-compensating mechanism designed to move them axially, independently of each other, along an axis corresponding to the axis of symmetry of the reflector (17), one of the electrodes being further capable of rotating relative to the second one such that the wear is uniform.
L'appareil lithotriteur permet d'assurer avec une grande précision le fractionnement des calculs rénaux au moyen d'un générateur d'ondes de choc en compensant l'usure des électrodes qui composent ce générateur. Il comporte un bâti (11), une table de traitement (12) pour supporter un patient pendant un traitement de fractionnement d'une lithiase (35), un générateur d'ondes de choc, des moyens pour focaliser ces ondes de choc sur la lithiase, et un dispositif de visualisation en direct (60) de la zone de traitement, le générateur d'ondes de choc comportant deux électrodes (33, 34) écartées l'une de l'autre. Les moyens pour focaliser ces ondes de choc comportant un réflecteur semi-ellipsoïdal (17), les extrémités (33a, 34a) de ces électrodes étant disposées sensiblement à l'un (Fe) des foyers du réflecteur (17), l'autre foyer (Fr) du réflecteur étant centré sur la lithiase. Les électrodes (33, 34) sont pourvues d'un mécanisme de compensation de leur usure agencé pour les déplacer axialement, indépendamment l'une de l'autre, selon un axe correspondant à l'axe de symétrie du réflecteur (17), l'une des électrodes pouvant également tourner par rapport à la seconde afin que l'usure soit régulière.
