A litter box (10) including a housing (12) for disposing therein litter (14) for use by a pet, and a grinder (50) for grinding excreta (65) found in the litter box (10). The litter (10) preferably includes litter (14) substantially impervious to grinding by the grinder (50). The litter box (10) includes a filtering assembly (29) for filtering the excreta (65), ground by the grinder (50) from the litter (14). The litter box (10) preferably includes a cleansing liquid (66), which is in fluid communication with the litter (14), wherein the grinder (50) agitates the litter (14) and the cleansing liquid (66) so as to cause cleansing of the litter (14).

Caisse pour litière qui comprend un boîte permettant d'y déposer de la litière destinée à un animal de compagnie, et un broyeur destiné à broyer les excréments trouvés dans la boîte. Ladite boîte contient de préférence de la litière pratiquement impossible à broyer par le broyeur. Elle comporte un ensemble de filtrage destiné à séparer de la litière les excréments à broyer. Elle contient de préférence un liquide de nettoyage en communication fluidique avec la litière, le broyeur agitant la litière et le liquide de nettoyage de manière à provoquer le nettoyage de la litière.
