A load-activated electronic animal control system (12) is provided for detecting an animal load (42) across actuating conductors (26 and 28). In response to detecting such a load, and electrical stimulus is delivered to the animal load (42) across the actuating conductors (26 and 28). The control system (12) may be used on avian structures such as bird feeding or nesting structures or on electric fences for livestock or other animals. Specifically, a load-activated electronic animal control system (12) delivers an electrical stimulus to animals greater than a predetermined size when such animals contact defined actuating surfaces (26 and 28) of the structure. Prior to activation, the control system (12) maintains the system circuitry in a low- power state. Further, the electrical stimulus is only delivered to the actuating surfaces (26 and 28) when a load is detected across such actuating surfaces (26 and 28).
L'invention concerne un système électronique de protection (12) contre des animaux, activé par contact et destiné à détecter une charge de contact d'un animal (42), par l'intermédiaire de conducteurs d'actionnement (26 et 28).
