ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A relatively simple load lifting and balancing device includes a slack adjuster for suspension from a crane or other hoisting device, a splined shaft extending through the slack adjuster for rotation thereby, a toothed wheel mounted on the outer free ends of the shaft for rotation therewith, and a chain extending around the top of each toothed wheel for connection to spaced apart points on a load, whereby, when the slack adjuster is raised or lowered, the load follows, and, when the shaft is rotated the load is tilted.
