ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a load support device of the type adapted to be removably attached to a support link of a load lift means, which device includes, in combination, a load support device body formed with a clevis having spaced first and second leg port- ions formed with aligned first and second bore openings, respectively. The second leg portion carries a shield portion bridging the second bore opening adjacent an end thereof dis- posed remotely of the first bore opening. A load pin is sized to be removably inserted within the first and second bore openings to position an inserted end surface thereof in abutting engagement with the shield portion, the load pin having a length such that its opposite end surface is disposed within and spaced inwardly of an outer end of the first bore opening when the inserted end surface is disposed in abutting engagement with the shield portion. The outer end of the first bore opening is spaced remotely relative to the second bore opening. Retaining means removably bridge the first bore opening and are spaced inwardly of the outer end thereof for engagement with the opposite end surface of the load pin, whereby to co-operate with the shield portion to constrain the load pin against axially directed movements from bearing engagement with the first and second bore openings.
