- 1 - ABSTRACT There is provided a longitudinal extensible platform comprising a plurality of framed sections hingedly joined together. Each framed section comprises a first set of ground engaging rollers and a second set of load engaging rollers extending transversely of the framed section. A drive means is mounted below the surface of the loading dock for driving an endless chain. The extensible platform is drivingly engaged to the endless chain and adapted for longitudinal movement therealong. The extensible platform has a platen at a forward end hingedly engaging the first framed section. The extensible platform is provided with a driven pusher assembly mounted thereon. The pusher assembly extending upwardly for abutting with the load resting on the extensible platform.

Plate-forme télescopique longitudinale comprenant une série de sections délimitées par des cadres et jointes au moyen de charnières. Chaque section comporte un premier jeu de rouleaux qui entrent en contact avec le sol et un second jeu de rouleaux porteurs s'étendant transversalement par rapport aux sections. Un mécanisme d'entraînement installé sous le quai de chargement actionne une chaîne sans fin. La plate-forme télescopique est rattachée à la chaîne sans fin et peut se déplacer le long de cette dernière. L'extrémité avant de la plate-forme est munie d'une plaque fixée à la première section au moyen d'une charnière. Un poussoir entraîné est monté sur la plate-forme et se prolonge verticalement afin de s'appuyer contre la charge placée sur la plate-forme télescopique.
