A method for loading and unloading of solid substance (6) having high degree of water content of a bulk carrier (5) is disclosed. The bulk carrier (5) has one or more cargo holds (2) receiving the solid substance (6) and the solid substance (6) having such high degree of water content that a layer of liquid (7) is formed above the solid substance (6). The solid substance (6) is being discharged from each cargo hold (2) by means of a suitable pump (15) which is placed on a float (1) being freely moveable on the layer of liquid (7) in the cargo hold (2). The solid substance (2) and water are pumped out of the cargo hold (2) by a predetermined volumetric ratio and water is being fed into the cargo hold (2) by a volumetric rate which substantially correspond with the water rate that is being discharged. Further is a float (1) disclosed having a pump station (4) for use at loading and unloading of the bulk carrier (5) transporting the solid substance (6) with high degree of water content, said float (1) being adapted to placement in the cargo hold (2) together with the solid substance. The suction head (13) of the pump station (4) is able to be elevated or lowered in aspect of the float (1).
La présente invention concerne un procédé de chargement et de déchargement d'un transporteur de vrac (5) d'une substance solide (6) à forte teneur en eau. Ledit transporteur de vrac (5) possède une ou plusieurs cales (2) destinées à recevoir la substance solide (6), laquelle peut contenir une telle quantité d'eau qu'elle peut être recouverte d'une couche liquide (7). La substance solide (6) est déchargée de chaque cale (2) à l'aide d'une pompe spéciale (15) placée sur un flotteur (1) pouvant se déplacer librement sur la couche liquide (7) dans la cale (2). La substance solide (6) et l'eau sont pompées hors de la cale (2) selon un rapport volumétrique prédéterminé, de l'eau étant pompée dans la cale (2) selon un débit volumétrique correspondant sensiblement au débit d'eau refoulé. L'invention concerne également un flotteur (1) comportant une station de pompage (4) mise en fonctionnement lors du chargement et du déchargement du transporteur de vrac (5) transportant la substance solide (6) à forte teneur en eau, ledit flotteur (1) étant destiné à être placé dans la cale (2) avec la substance solide. La tête d'aspiration (13) de la station de pompage (4) peut être élevée ou abaissée par rapport au flotteur (1).
