Loading system for an electric arc furnace comprising a loading station, a pre-heating station and a pick-up and moving device provided with an arm rotating on a circumference on which the furnace, the loading station and the pre-heating station lie, said loading station being distanced from said pre-heating station, said loading element being suitable to be located in or removed from each of said loading and pre-heating stations, said manipulator arm also being suitable to be moved vertically to move the loading element between said loading station, said pre-heating station and a position above said furnace, in said pre-heating station said container being suitable to cooperate with said air-tight cover and at the lower part with a combustion chamber, said air-tight cover being movable both vertically and rotatably on a horizontal plane, said fume-discharge conduit being at least partly coaxial with the axis of rotation of said air-tight cover.
Cette invention se rapporte à un système de chargement pour fours à arc électrique (11) comprenant au moins un toit (11a) comportant au moins un quatrième trou qui peut être raccordé à un conduit pour décharger les fumées (22) associées au niveau de l'extrémité à un revêtement étanche à l'air (23), de façon à fermer temporairement au moins l'élément de chargement (16) contenant les scories, la partie inférieure de l'élément de chargement (16) pouvant être ouverte au moins partiellement. Ce système comprend un dispositif collecteur et de déplacement (15) comportant au moins un bras de manipulation rotatif (17). L'élément de chargement (16), qui est situé dans la station de préchauffage (20b), coopère directement avec un moyen acheminant les fumées hors du four (11) et avec un moyen de fermeture temporaire (23) étanche à l'air. L'élément de chargement (16) est conçu sous la forme d'un récipient ou d'un panier (12, 112, 212) disposé amovible en suspension sur des éléments préhenseurs (17a, 17b) du bras de manipulation (17), ce récipient ou panier (12, 112, 212) dans la station de préchauffage (20b) étant placé au-dessus et en coopération directe par rapport à une chambre de combustion (21), dans laquelle les fumées de préchauffage entrent et sont partiellement brûlées, après avoir traversé le récipient ou panier (12) par passage à travers les scories du haut vers le bas. Le revêtement (23) étanche à l'air (23) du récipient ou panier (12) peut être retiré par mouvement vertical et rotatif et il peut être relié directement de façon temporaire au conduit de décharge de fumées (22) depuis le quatrième trou du four (11) par des conduits se trouvant au moins partiellement dans le même axe que l'axe de rotation.
