ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention provides a storage core defining an array of rows and columns of elongated contiguous open-ended cells. These cells are formed by a multiplicity of interlocking cell-forming elements, each of the elements being of substantially constant section throughout its length and having suitable connection means thereon, e.g. tongue and groove connections, to provide for interlocking relation with the elements next adjacent thereto. In a preferred form of the invention the above storage core forms an integral part of a lobster storage cage. The cells are preferably sized to receive a pair of lobsters therein in back to back relation. Suitable end closure means are adapted to normally overlie opposing ends of the storage core to prevent escape of lobsters from the open ended cells while at the same time permitting free circulation of water inwardly and outwardly of the cells.
