To increase reliability of telephone services in a local multichannel distribution system, a switching function to a bypass line is added not only to a terminal unit, but also to an entire system, and reliability of a line is increased by employing a microwave radio link and a public telephone line network. In a local multichannel distribution system capable of providing services of pictures, data, and telephones by highspeed wireless transmissions, when a failure happens to occur in a wireless line used to connect a base station to set top boxes, the set top boxes are connected to the public telephone line network as a first bypass line. When a failure happens to occur in a cable (coaxial cable and/or optical fiber cable:PSTN) used to connect a head end station with the base station, both the head end station (node station) and the base station are connected to the microwave line as a second bypass line.

Quand une panne touche un câble (coaxial et/ou optique : RTCP) raccordant une station de tête de ligne à une station de base, la station de tête de ligne (station nodale) et la station de base sont raccordées à la liaison hertzienne, qui est une seconde ligne de contournement.
