LOCK CYLINDER FOR BACKHOE SLIDE FRAME ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pair of lock cylinders (60) for a backhoe slide frame (18) provide for a positive lock of the slide frame (18) in selected positions along rails (16A,16B). The rails (16A,16B) are generally horizontal and are vertically spaced. The lock cylinders (60) mount between the vertically spaced rails (16A,16B). The lock cylinders (60) each have a piston (72) that acts to hold the slide frame (18) seated against the upper one of the rails (16A). The piston (72) also provides a wedging action on at least one rail (16A) to hold the slide frame (18) from fore and aft movement relative to the rail (16A).
