The present invention pertains to a lock escutcheon plate which is adapted for use with a doorknob lock enabling the lock to be operated by handles substituted for the doorknobs. Each internal or external escutcheon of the same lock co-axially incorporates a tubular guide bearing for its own recovery spring in addition to the one that the lock mechanism has internally. The guide bearing has an internal wall with a rotating locking projection with respect to a reciprocal notch made in the drum of the handle. Within the escutcheon cavity the guide bearing has blades which are diametrically opposite to each other which support the ends of the recovery spring and which, when rotating interfere in both ways with stopping lugs which are joined to the escutcheon and located in a central angle positioned between projections which, while also being joined to the escutcheon, are located near the resting position of the blades giving immobilization support in opposite turning directions for the extended ends of the recovery spring.
